Aspiring Mechanical Engineer

Hello! My name is William Robertson.

Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by amusement parks. While I admired many types of machinery, mechanical attractions such as roller coasters and carousels captured my imagination the most. That fascination gradually grew into a passion for designing new attractions.

What began as crayon sketches during my childhood evolved into detailed concepts created with CAD software as I developed my engineering skills. Along the way, I came to appreciate that amusement parks rely on far more than rides alone. The complex systems, infrastructure, and engineering behind these environments inspired me to explore how I could contribute to the industry beyond attraction design.

Today, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and am pursuing a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. By combining my engineering education with my lifelong passion for themed entertainment, my goal is to become a mechanical engineer who helps design, develop, maintain, and innovate experiences within the themed entertainment industry.
